Chauncey James "CJ" Baker Obituary
Chauncey James "CJ" Baker, 77, passed away on Sunday July 13, 2014, with his family by his side.
He was born on March 8, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Charles and Jeannette Baker, both deceased.
CJ worked for the International Longshoremen Association Local 1317 since 1957, becoming the President in 1965 and the International Vice President in 1972. You could often times find CJ playing golf, poker, or enjoying his Sky Vodka at a local bar. He was a proud and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who will be greatly missed by many.
CJ is survived by his wife, Leslie Baker; his loving children, Doreen (Andre) Aquila, Cindy (Ron) Thomas, Chauncey (Linley) Baker Jr, and Sean Baker; his 12 grandchildren, his 5 great-grandchildren, and his siblings, John (Louise) Baker, and Maryjane (James) Piscioneri.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward (Jackie) Baker; and his previous wives, Delores Baker, and Michelle R. Baker.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014, at Immaculate Conception 37932 Euclid Ave, Willoughby.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, at the Monreal Funeral Home 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake.
