Charles D. "Thumper" Schulz Sr. Obituary
Charles D. "Thumper" Schulz, Sr., of Timberlake, age 63, passed away July 18, 2014, surrounded by his wife and children.
More than anything, Charlie loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and singing, and was a long time member of the Lakeland Civic Chorus. Charlie was a proud US Navy Veteran.
He was the beloved husband of Mary (nee Philbin); loving father of Ann Misterka (Scott), Patricia, Maureen, William (Angela), and Charles D. Jr.; doting grandfather to Delia, Quinn, Maxwell, Harrison, Nicholas and Charlotte Misterka; brother of Karen Kershner (Robert), Ann Donley (Gary), and Gregory; uncle to many nieces and nephews; dear friend of Kevin Oliver Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Grace Schulz; and brother, Daniel Schulz.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014, at St. Justin Martyr Church (35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake). Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 24, at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
The family suggests donations to the Camp Sue Osborn: Alumni Camp, 8090 Broadmoor Rd., Mentor 44060 or Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland 44110. Special thanks to the staff of the Lake West Hospital Monitored Care Unit and Ames Family Hospice House.
