Louis Kluska, age 86, of Willowick, passed away on Saturday July 12, 2014, at Lake West Hospital.
He was born June 4, 1928, in Uniontown, Pa., to Kenneth Trout & Anna Hudik.
Lou was a proud survivor of the great depression and a US Navy Veteran. He grew up living in Smock, Pa., with his grandparents.
He devoted his working life as an auto mechanic working at various GM dealerships throughout the East side of Cleveland.
Lou's passions were fishing, camping and boating in his favorite place, Kinzua Reservoir in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania. Known as a Poppa, he often lived vicariously through his grandchildren; whether it was through active duty enlistment of his grandson Nick, or through the water and snow skiing adventures of his grandson's Steve and Mike. Poppa always had an interest in what his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren were doing.
Lou was known by his family and friends as a hardworking man who never shied away from work.
Survivors include his daughters, Joyce (Rich) Duncan and Nancy (Mitch) Antoon; grandchildren, Steve (Shawn), Mike (Bobbi) Duncan and Sean, Nick (Tracey) and Andrea Antoon; great-grandchildren, Erica, Brittany, Michelle McKenzie, Julie, Alyssa, Sophie and Olivia; great-great grandchildren, Cooper, Cylee and Leon.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 68 years, Josephine, in 2006.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060.
