Charles "Chuck" Lohr, age 81, passed away July 26, 2014, at his residence in Painesville.
He was born May 13, 1933, in Painesville.
Chuck's hobbies included classic cars, collecting coins and Mickey Mouse memorabilia and was a member of Painesville VFW Post 2595, American Legion Post 336, and Chardon Eagles.
He received his high school diploma at age of 79.
Charles retired from Coe Manufacturing and previously worked at Diamond Shamrock and Deepwood Center.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
Survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Daniel Lohr; daughters, Cynthia (David) Raines and Cheryl Clingerman; 14 grandchildren; andsisters, Mary Bancroft and Eleanor Latshaw.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Shane Lohr; granddaughter, Aubriella Marie Clingerman; stepsons, David Carl King and Daniel Lee King; brothers, Edward, Lester, Lawrence and James; sisters, Ruth Nash, Eva Bodak and Betty Wilkerson; and parents, Lawrence and Eva Mae (Moyle) Lohr.
Graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Cemetery, 398 Riverside Dr., Painesville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
