Robert A. "Bob" Rayl Obituary
Robert A. "Bob" Rayl, age 68, died Tuesday, July 29, at home in Hambden Township.
He was born February 1, 1946, in Chardon, and was a lifetime resident of the Chardon Area.
Robert served as the President of the Chardon's Lion Club for many years, was active in youth sports leagues, and was an avid hunter.
He was the beloved husband to Sara and father of Christine (Charlie) Juleff, Andrea Kaufman, Elizabeth (Dan) Osicki, Julia (Jeff) Botos, Robert T. (Kim Wood) Rayl, Glenn (Tina) Bontrager, and Lisa Bontrager. He is survived by his brother Sam (Barb), his sister Cathy (Gary) Gramberg, his brother Tom (Carole), 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Bob leaves behind many friends and his beloved dog, Mercy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elizabeth Rayl; his brother, William; and sister-in-law, Margaret.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500' south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. Private family burial will be in Hambden Township Cemetery.
