1922 - 2014 | Obituary Condolences
Mass of Christian Burial for George A. Rubal, 92, of Wickliffe, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Ave,Wickliffe.
Mr. Rubal passed away July 28, 2014, at The Fairways in Wickliffe.
He was born April 8, 1922, in Beaverdale, Pa.
George was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1943 to 1946, a life member of American Legion Post 7, and a Third Degree Knights of Columbus Wickliffe Council 5405.
Mr. Rubal retired from General Motors and worked at the Fisher Body Plant.
He was the loving father of Dr. Denis (Cathy) Rubal, Sandra (Don) Irving and Cory (Scott) Rubal Ovian; cherished grandfather of Deborah, Patricia, Margaret, Amanda, Melissa, Kaitlynn and Dustin; great-grandfather of seven; and brother of Bernard (Helen).
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elsie; son, Timothy; great-grandson, Alexander; and nine siblings.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
