Obituary Condolences

Clara Yoder Byler, age 85, of Middlefield, formerly of Hartville, passed away Thursday morning, August 7, 2014, at Briar Hill Health Care in Middlefield.
She was born on July 9, 1929, in Hartville, Ohio, daughter of John J. and Emma (Miller) Yoder.
Clara worked at Hartville Locker Service for 30 years. She married Henry Byler August 29, 1987. They lived 17 years in Middlefield; then in Hartville 10 years, before coming back to Middlefield. She was a member of Maple View Mennonite Church in Burton and Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Hartsville. Her hobbies included flower gardening and needle work. Clara was a very caring and compassionate person who enjoyed sending cards to her friends and relatives.
She will be missed dearly by her friends and family, her beloved husband, Henry Byler of 26 years; four step children, David L. (Verla) Byler of Columbia, SC, James (Mary) Byler of Sarasota, FL, Ellen (Frank) Wilson of Middlefield, and William (Carol) Byler of Savanna, GA; nine step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; six siblings, Lizzie Ann Yoder, Esther (John) Hershberger, LeRoy J. (Martha) Yoder and Leona (Norman) Slabaugh, all of Hartville, Wayne J. (Linda) Yoder of Fresno, and Joseph H. (Janice) Yoder of Middlebury, IN; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Yoder of Orville, Mary Ellen Yoder of Hartville, and Mary Ellen Yoder of Newport Richey, FL.
She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and two step grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2014, at Maple View Mennonite Church, 14890 Burton Windsor Road in Burton Township.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church and also Monday, 9:30 a.m. until the Service time.
Burial will be at Maple View Cemetery. Pastor Larry Augsburger will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Maple View Mennonite Church or to the Maple Grove Church in Hartville.
