Robert W. "Bob" White Obituary
Services for Robert W. "Bob" White, 75, of Madison Village, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Mr. White passed away Monday, August 11, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 24, 1939, in East Cleveland, he was a resident of Madison Village for 30 years.
He enjoyed socializing with his extended family, the residents at Madison Village Manor. He participated in the Special Olympics in softball and swimming events, and enjoyed gardening and helping others.
Mr. White was employed at the True-Value Hardware Store in Willoughby for 30 years and previously at Dun-Rite Plating in his earlier years.
Survivors are his nieces, Donna (Joseph) Gay, Dorretta (Harry) Jenkins, Cheryl (Gary) Kaddatz, Sandy (Gary Parker) Thomas, Ruth (Eddie) Mandato, Sara Ann (Glen) Keating, Linda (Paul) Baker, Judith (Edward) Bash and Elizabeth (John) Gilson; nephews, Mark (Sharon) Thou, James (Kathi) Huffman, Sam (Mary) Thou and David White; 30 great-nieces and nephews; and 38 great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elizabeth (Williams) White; his sisters, Esther Huffman, Sarah Swor and Nancy Thou; his brother, Ralph White; and nephew, Robert Willard.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service. The Rev. Gerald D. Kalb of Painesville United Methodist Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Willoughby Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Madison Village Manor, 148 East Main Street, Madison, OH 44057.
