Be the first to share your memories or express your condolences in the Guest Book for Carolyn "Jean" (Hayes) Brown.
Jean was born on November 6, 1938, in Caldwell, to Majorie (Ralph) Sistek and Ronald Hayes, both deceased. She was raised by her grandparents, Nellie and George Ralph, in Sharon. Jean and Jim raised their children in Lake County, where they lived until Jim's job took them to Cumberland, for 19 years. Jean loved her family deeply; her favorite times were spent cooking a big meal with everyone gathered together.
Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, James R. Brown; her daughters, Tacey and Cynthia (Richard) Ditto; and her sister, Patricia Fish. She was the devoted "Grandma Jean" to Amy Dunlap, Holly (Aaron) Benz, April Matic, Brianna Laudenslager and great grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Dunlap, Brandon Ditto, Hanna Zorich and Nikolas Matic.
Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Meyers and brothers, George and Terry Hayes.
