Obituary Condolences Flowers

Ronald Allen Hill, Sr., age 80, formerly of Ashtabula and Geauga counties, went to be with the Lord on Friday August 15, 2014, in Coshocton. He joins his beloved wife, Katherine (nee Barber), who preceded him in death, in 2008.
Ron was born March 31, 1934, in Newbury, to Charles and Gladys (Wagner) Hill.
After graduating from Newbury High School, he joined the Air Force serving in Europe and stateside from 1952-1956 during the Korean War. He was married for 47 yrs. to Katherine, whom he met in Cleveland, while driving bus for RTA. Ron drove taxi for the Amish community for over 30 yrs. and his favorite memories were of his family and his Amish family. Ron and his wife spent a large share of their life raising a family and farming in rural Ashtabula and Geauga counties.
He will be missed by his friends and family including his children, Linda (Mike) Vollene, Debi (Bud) Haver, Charles (Bev) Hill, Ron (Jodi) Hill and Mary (Bethany) Hill. He enjoyed spending time with his 10 grandchildren and his 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a sister, Laverne Hayden.
Funeral Service will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Maple View Mennonite Church, 14890 Burton-Windsor Rd., Burton Twp.
Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Church, services to follow. Burial will be in the Maple View Cemetery.
