Theresa M. (Salvatore) Gianfagna Obituary
Teresa M. (nee Salvatore) Gianfagna, 95, passed away on August 19, 2014, at Emeritus of Willoughby.
Born April 28, 1919, in Rossiter, PA, she was a resident of Eastlake and former resident of Cleveland.
Teresa was a member of Holy Redeemer Church and the Pointers Club, both in Collinwood. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader.
She was employed as a secretary at Euclid Beach Park for 10 years, with the help of her friend, neighbor and employer Urban Vaccariello, and a secretary at Collinwood High School, retiring at age 62.
She is survived by daughters, Dale A. (Allen) Alexander of Bonita Springs, FL. and Diane M. Baxter of Mentor; grandchildren, Anthony David (Laura) Alexander, Marcella (Ramon) Alverdrez, Christopher Allen Alexander, Carol Ann (Michael) Weis, Marie Diane (Mark) Kopan, Noelle Ann (Kurt) Kolchetsky, Janeen Mary (Kevin) Sweeney, and Franklin Thomas (Michelle) Baxter, II; 19 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Toni and Martha Salvatore; and many nieces and nephews.
Teresa was preceded in death by her son, Thomas A. Gianfagna; grandson, Stephen Alexander; parents, Orazio and Adelaide Di Salvatore; sisters, Genevieve (Fred) Pantalone and Inez (Berman) Newnes; brothers, Ercole (Mary), Alfredo (Josephine), Alberto (Rose), Tomory, and David Salvatore.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, 15712 Kipling Ave., Cleveland. (Please meet at the church). Rev. Marty Polito will officiate. Burial will be at Mentor Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chester Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Teresa's name may be made to Holy Redeemer Church. (address above).
