Charles W. "Bill" Grantham, age 83, of Mentor since 2003 formerly of Willoughby, passed away August 24, 2014, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
He was born September 30, 1930, in Warrior, Alabama.
Mr. Grantham had worked as a foreman for Ohio Rubber, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the American Legion post# 214 in Willoughby, the George Holly Mason Lodge in Willoughby and a lifetime member of both the VFW in Willoughby and the Lake County Rod & Gun Club in Madison.
Survivors include his daughter, Frances (Candie Baker) Grantham; companion, Lois Browning; grandson, Morgan Grantham; sister, Jean Dean; brother, Rick Grantham; and his special girls, Sherry, Renee and Kiley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha "Jane" Grantham; and son, Charles A. "Chuck" Grantham.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
