Ruth Marie Dow, age 91, of Willowick, and most recently, North Olmsted, passed away August 24, 2014.
She was born in Euclid, and graduated class salutatorian from Euclid Central High.
During the 40's, she worked as a payroll clerk for Standard Oil in the Terminal Tower. A business owner and entrepreneur, she managed the bookkeeping for Beachland Cleaners and started the Cleanerettes, a first-of-its kind luxury apartment cleaning business in 1974.
She loved her family and they loved her-she bragged to all that would listen that she had "good kids" and a "wonderful life."
Survived by her daughter, Kathryn of Westlake; sons, Don (Yuhpa) of Plantation Fla. and Jim (Kathy) of Ft. Collins Colo.; brother, Herm (Jeanne); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Charles Dow; her parents, August and Ellen Seitz; and sister, Caroline Hribar.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29 at the Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery.
