Len Allen "Little Buddy" Hosmer

Len Allen "Little Buddy" Hosmer, 62, of Burton, passed away peacefully at home Sunday evening, February 12th, 2017, after a 3 year battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. Lenny was born in Chardon on January 5th, 1955, the son of Billee Jean and Franklin Hosmer.
He was a 1973 graduate of Berkshire High School. Len worked as a Tire Tech at Manfredi Motor Transit for 32 years and Kauffman Tire in Orwell.
His hobbies included collecting and restoring antique tractors, vintage Boaski snowmobiles, and collecting any useful "stuff" that might come in handy. He was a member of several Antique Engine Clubs, Troy Snowmobile Club, and Magnetawan Ridgerunners in Canada. He enjoyed going to Canada to the family cabin, snowmobiling there, and spending time with his family and the many friends he made "up north". Lenny was well-known for his "wheeling and dealing", his great smile, and his sense of humor. His answer to every situation good or bad was "E-I-E-I-O".
Lenny will be greatly missed by all. He was a loving husband, father, and good friend. He is survived by his ex-wife/partner of 46 years, Sherry Hosmer; sons, Len (Holly), Ladd; daughter, Heidi (Kevin); mother, Billee Hosmer; brothers, Denny (Debbie), Rex (Linda), Bill (Laurie); his faithful companion, Brockway and his cat, Duke; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin, and his sister, Ruth Ellen Sell.
As per Lenny's request, no calling hours will be held and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations are requested to be made in Lenny's honor to Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Rd., Russell Twp, OH 44072.
