Kenneth D. Ohtola, 64, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born Dec. 30, 1946, in Ravenna, to Irene (Urbanski) and Toivo Ohtola, he married Patricia Wampler July 18, 1969.
Mr. Ohtola was employed at Stevens Management Company for 20 years and was the owner of B&K Cycles. He was previously employed at Chardon Rubber and TRW.
Ken loved his motorcycles, model trains, fishing, worldwide rock and T-shirt collections. He was a longtime member of New Day Christian Church, where he sang in the choir, and was a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by wife, Patricia Ohtola of Madison; daughters, Tamela (Mark) Aman of Enid, Okla., April (Gene) Stilley of Mulvane, Kan., and Crystal (John) Filidoro of Madison; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Irene Gotthard of Chardon; sisters, Marcia Vaughn, Alicia Gotthard, Verl Johnson, Brenda Jenkins; brothers, Richard and Michael Gotthard; four foster children; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He was known as "Grandpa Kenny" to many.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, with visitation one hour prior at New Day Christian Church, 6385 North Ridge Road, Madison. Pastor Michael Rice will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Day Christian Church, 6385 North Ridge Road, Madison, OH 44057.
