Karen Marie Caler, 56, of Eastlake, passed away Nov. 7, 2012, at Ames Hospice in Westlake.

She was born March 8, 1956, in Cleveland.
Karen was a great wife, mom, grandma and friend. She enjoyed helping to raise her grandkids. She was an active volunteer at different charities that helped people with cancer or other illness.
Survivors are her husband of 17 years, Mike; mother, Maureen (James) Krainz; children, Erin (Kevin) Mikolic, Jessica (Leland) Ryman, Justin (Amber) Ryman and Denna (Jack) Yahner; grandchildren, Tyler Ryman, Maryssa and Hanna Mikolic, David Ryman, Nevaeh Jernigan, Damon and Haley Yahner, Bradley, Noelle and Emmeline Ryman; brothers, Mark (Michelle) and Dale (Debbie) Gilbert; sisters, Elaine Gilbert and Gayle (Mark) Huntington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Gilbert; and grandchild, Anabelle Ryman.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
