Alice M. Munn, age 83, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Geauga Medical Center.
She was born March 31, 1929, in Garfield Heights and had lived in Newbury Township prior to moving to Tavares, Fla., in 1991.
Mrs. Munn had been an administrative assistant in the hotel industry. She had been active in St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, when living in Florida, and while living in Newbury, the Church of St. Helen, where she was a member of the Legion of Mary and a Eucharistic minister. She chaperoned the All Ohio Youth Choir, and enjoyed traveling, music, and her cat, Soxie.
Survivors include her daughter, Marcia Munn (James) Kukral of Plymouth, Minn.; sons, Jeffrey R. (Linda) and Gregory E. (Alice) Munn of Newbury Township; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves her close Florida friends, Mike and Pat Alexander.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R. Earl and Anna (Nemunaitis) Cruxton.
Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township. The Rev. Jay McPhillips will be officiating.
A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. Interment will be in Munn Cemetery in Newbury.
