Joseph Sibert Obituary

Joseph Sibert, 98, of Mentor, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Mentor Way Care Center.
Born July 15, 1914, in Ruthford, Pa., he was a Euclid resident before moving to Mentor.
Mr. Sibert was a retired plant manager for Old Meadow Creamery in Cleveland, where he worked for 34 years. He then worked as a certified food service sanitarian at Accra Labs for 20 years. Later in his life, he worked for the Lake County Board of MR/DD for 11 years.
Mr. Sibert was a past Master of Glenville Masonic Lodge 1618, past High Priest of Glenville Chapter member of Windermere Council, 32nd Degree Mason, past director of East Cleveland Auxiliary Police, and past president of Ohio Dairy Technical Society. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (nee Kuhn) Sibert; daughter, Marjorie (Clifford) Hill of Mentor; two grandchildren, Timothy (Anna) Hill of Mentor and Dawn Hill of Willoughby; and three great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Catherine and Lauren Hill.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor (nee Weiser) Sibert; second wife, Norma (nee Rau) Sibert; parents, Frank and Catherine Sibert; sisters, Mary Bionaz, Katherine Molitoris and Alice Mooney; and brothers, Michael, Frank, Bill and John Sibert.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.
