Paul J. Decker, age 94, of Garfield Heights, passed away Feb. 25, 2013, in Garfield Heights.
He was born June 18, 1918, in Cleveland, and had lived in Garfield Heights for more than 60 years.
Mr. Decker served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during
World War II
He had worked as an auto mechanic at Standard Oil.
He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia (nee Knoff); brother of the late Ray Decker; and brother-in-law of the late Tom Witucky.
Paul was the dear father of Cheryl Roesch (Robert), Terry (Bonnie), and Cindy; loving grandfather of Laura Roesch, Patty Burich (Jason), Bob Roesch, Karrie Holloway (George), Tracy Decker (fiance, Paul Smith), Paul Decker (Dr. Nicole Dorrance-Decker); Lisa Decker (Kris Board), and Tony Fierro (Tori); great-grandfather of Kaylee and Quinn Holloway and Anthony Fierro; brother of Lorraine Witucky; and brother-in-law of Carole Decker.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at The Ferfolia Funeral Home, 5386 Lee Road (near Broadway), Maple Heights.
Funeral services will be held 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Monica Catholic Church, 13623 Rockside Road, Garfield Heights, OH 44125. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Northfield.
