Fredrick Golden, 65, of Willoughby Hills, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at Regency Hospital in Warrensville Heights.
Born Nov. 30, 1947, in Jackson, Miss., he originally lived in Cleveland before moving to Lake County 17 years ago.
Mr. Golden was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of the Masonic Order, an avid bowler and touched his family and friends with much knowledge.
Fredrick was the beloved husband of Marcella M. (nee Bowman) Golden; loving father of Nicholus (Christina) Golden of Columbus; stepfather of James (Lynn) Merryweather, Keith (Lana) Uncapher, Korey Uncapher, Kurt Uncapher, Kenneth Manley and Hollie Tolbert; cherished grandfather of Gia Nicole; brother of Robert (Rosalind) Golden of Cleveland and Deon (Franklin) DeShields of California; uncle of Niki Golden, Todd Golden, Miles and Manny; and dearest friend of Betty Ruffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Georgia Lee (nee Brickley) Golden; and uncle, Fredrick Brickley.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, where funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
