Sally J. Egner, 61, of Concord Township, formerly of Mentor and Mayfield Village, died March 17, 2013, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.

She was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Lehigh, Pa.
Mrs. Egner had worked as a registered nurse for Maxim Health Services in Painesville, and before that she had worked for various nursing homes and hospitals in the area.
Mrs. Egner was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Lake County Messiah Chorus, the Painesville Women's Chorus, a volunteer at the Lake County Historical Society, Order of the Eastern Star in Willoughby and a longtime and very active member of Advent Lutheran Church in Mentor, where she was a member of the choir. Mrs. Egner enjoyed reading, crafts and traveling with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Gary G.; daughter, Jennifer E. Egner; mother, Janet Scott; sister, Cynthia (Robert) Krantz; niece, Christina (Dale) Stevens; father- and mother-in-law, James and Phyllis Whitmore; brother-in-law, Keith (Theresa) Egner; nephew, Keith Egner Jr; niece, Tracy (Tim) Derlak; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert James Scott.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Advent Lutheran Church, 7985 Munson Road, Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be in Concord Township Cemetery.
