1947 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Kenneth Frankenberry Kenneth Frankenberry, 65, of Painesville, was born April 22, 1947, to Walter and Helen (Gilpin) Frankenberry in Mt. Savage, Md. He passed away April 7, 2013, at his son's home in Painesville. Kenneth was a machinist for Bev Corp., and served in the U.S. Army as a helicoptor mechanic, serving two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 7754 in Fairport Harbor, St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Concord, and The Fairport Senior Citizens Center, and he enjoyed bluegrass music. Ken enjoyed dirt car racing with his grandson, and motorcyle riding with his wife, touring the entire length of Route 66. He was a coach and a player for Painesville Little League, and was a baseball fan. Survivors are his wife, Agnes (Lesniewski) Frankenberry, whom he married March 27, 1971; sons, Mike (Tonia) Frankenberry of Painesville and Chris (fiancee Kristine Popa) Frankenberry of Willoughby; grandson, Tyler Frankenberry; and sisters, Zondra (Ron) McCoy and Caren (Bob) Combs, both of Cumberland, Md., and Leslie Hathaway of Madison. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kenneth Frankenberry Cancer Fund, c/o LCE Federal Credit Union, 77 N. St. Clair St., Painesville, OH 44077.
