Robert D. Idle, 71, of Madison, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Cleveland.

Robert was born Feb. 27, 1942, in Cleveland to Betty (Keller) and Raymond Idle. He married Linda (Renner) on March 25, 1972, in Willowick.
Robert was a 1960 graduate of Eastlake North High School. He joined the Army, serving in Vietnam as an explosive ordnance specialist. He attended Lakeland College. Robert was the owner and operator of A.C. America. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Idle of Madison; daughter, Shannon (Derrick) Eaves of Sherkston, Ontario, Canada; son, Matthew Idle of Strongsville; three grandchildren, Emily, Kyle and Daniel; mother, Betty Idle of Mentor; brothers, Ken (Cynthia) Idle and Don (Kay) Idle both of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and sister, Cheryl (John) Gilliam of Eastlake.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at St. Cyprian's Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry.
Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery, Middle Ridge Road, Perry.
