On June 9, 2013, Linda L. Hill passed away and the world lost one of the best people to ever grace it with their presence.
Born Linda L. Kettler on May 25, 1945, in Wheeling, W.Va., she was a graduate of Eastlake North Class of 1963.
Linda was the ultimate people person. A stranger was just a friend she hadn't met. She was everyone's ""go to"" person if they needed help with anything or a sympathetic ear. More than anything, she enjoyed the life and energy that her children, grandchildren and their friends brought when they came to visit. She also enjoyed dancing, reading, crossword puzzles and relaxing outdoors.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Dirk Hill; children, Greg and Emily Hurayt; stepchildren, Doug and Laura Hill; grandchildren, Sally and Nathan Hurayt; brother, William Kettler; sister, Donna (Carl) McAllister; six nephews and nieces; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis; mother, Madelyn; and brother, Richard.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, where a service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Robert A. Gaston will officiate the service. Burial will be private.
""God speed, my love.""
