Memorial services for Clarence L. Saylor, 87, of Eastlake, will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, prior to the services.
Mr. Saylor passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013.
Born Nov. 22, 1925, in Johnson City, Tenn., he had lived in Eastlake for more than 50 years.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3863 in Eastlake.
Mr. Saylor retired from the former Cleveland Crane and Engineering Company in Wickliffe.
He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Margaret (Loveless); son, Darrell (Stella) Saylor of Concord Township; daughter, Linda (Christopher) Jarmush of Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren, Stephen, Eric and Matthew Saylor, Monica (Greg Sislak) Saylor and Courtney and Ethan Jarmush. He also leaves his siblings, Ruby (Pat) Tapp, E.D. Saylor, Dick (Jean) Saylor and Wayne (Geneva) Saylor and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Toy Lee and Estella (Hodges) Saylor; his sister, Ellen and brother-in-law, Glen Onks; his brother, Hartzell Saylor and sister-in-law, Iva Saylor.
