Rose "Posie" Fatica

Rose ""Posie"" (Dye) Fatica, 93, of Mentor for the past 65 years, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at Lake Health West Medical Center, Willoughby. She was born Feb. 15, 1920, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Fatica was a homemaker until her retirement in 2012. She attended Cleveland West High School and was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Mentor, where she was on the St. Martha's Guild and volunteered for the church festival. Rose was also a longtime volunteer for American Heart Association. She was an artist and avid golfer who also enjoyed bowling and fishing. Rose loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Frank L. Fatica; they recently celebrated their anniversary on May 17, 2013; children, Kathy Gortz of Lakewood and Frank L. (Kathy) Fatica Jr. of Concord; grandchildren, Michelle and Tom Perkins, Pat (Carolyn) Perkins and Frank M. (Cassie) Fatica; great-grandchildren, Luke, Jack and Eva Perkins, Frank M. (Megan) Fatica Jr. and Nick Fatica.
Preceding Rose in death is her granddaughter, Sarah Fatica; parents, Alfred and Catherine Dye; sisters, Mary Clarke and Alice Beaudry; brothers, Arthur, Andy and Georgie Dye; and son-in-law, Frank Gortz.
A funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.
