Homer J. Gillam Jr., 77, went home to the Lord on July 28, 2013.
Mr. Gillam was a U.S. Marine veteran. He was vice president of systems for Lake County National Bank. Upon retiring in 1978 from the bank, he was the owner and operator of Gillam Corporation. He had a passion for boating, fishing, bowling, golfing and watching his grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carol (nee Motika); devoted children, Bonnie (Alan) Cser, Scott (Michele) Gillam, Connie DiDonato and Kathleen Widemire; grandchildren, Joseph (Amy), William (Catherine), Jason, Nicole, Laura, Bryan, Jonathan, Matthew and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Jacob, Mackenzie, Fiona, Liam, Keira and Leah; sisters, Sharon and Joan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Sr. and Leona Gillam; and his loving in-laws, Albert and Marguerite Motika.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Whitehaven Memorial Park, 615 Som Center Road, Mayfield Village.
