Edward Howard Spencer Obituary
Edward Howard Spencer, 76, a 17-year resident of Attalla, Ala., passed away July 19, 2013, in Gadsden, Ala.
Born March 2, 1937, in Morganton, N.C., he was a former resident of Mentor.
Mr. Spencer worked as a safety manager at Hilti, Inc., retiring after 20 years of service in 1992. He was previously employed at Parker Hannifin and Warner Swasey.
Mr. Spencer was affiliated with the Elks Lodge in Gadsden, the Moose Lodge in Marion, N.C., and was also a mason and a shriner. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, billiards, darts and collectibles.
Survivors are his daughters, Cheryl (Mark) Lynch, Cynthia (Keith) Lutz, Mary (Mark) Moore and Michelle (Ken) Cook; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Martha) Spencer and Harry (Gladys) Spencer; and sister, Florence (Arnie Zorn) Spencer.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Spencer; parents, Mary Spencer Browning and William Spencer; and brother, William Ray Spencer.
Friends will be received at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at the Elks Lodge, 723 Liberty St., Painesville, with services to begin at 6:30 p.m.
