Ralph H. Crandall, 85, of Thompson, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013.
He was born July 9, 1928, in Painesville, to Nellie A. (Hulbert) and Homer I. Crandall, and married Anastasia Cabizis on June 13, 1966.
Ralph served in the U.S. Army. He was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, serving as an elder for many years. He loved reading his well-worn Bible, working in the garden and cutting wood. Ralph loved people and always enjoyed a good conversation.
He was proud to work in the family business, Crandall Ford, for most of his working life.

Mr. Crandall is survived by his sons, Andrew (Camri) Crandall of Thompson, James L. (Deborah) Kingsley of Cambridge Springs, Pa., and Larry Joe (Laura Joan) Kingsley of Ormond Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Daniel Kingsley, Drew Crandall and Kayla Crandall.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anastasia; grandson, Larry Joe Kingsley; and his parents.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at The Montville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 17471 GAR Highway, Montville. Final resting place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
