Gary Wayne Leasure, 69, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013.
Born Nov. 15, 1943, in Frostburg, Md., to Beatrice Bell (Fertig) and Wilbert Thomas Leasure, Gary retired from the Madison Village Road Department where he had worked for many years.
He enjoyed keeping a meticulous landscape at his property on Wood Road, and loved tinkering in the garage and riding his motorcycle. Gary also loved playing guitar and listening to oldies music.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Lisa (John Fyock) Leasure of Madison; son, John (Ariana) Ignat IV of Texas; grandchildren, Amber, Madison and Joey; sisters, Beatrice Shahan of Madison and Dianna Johnson-Starr of Northfield; brother, John Ignat III of Geneva; his four-legged best friend, Stan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wilbert Leasure.
Friends will be received from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, with a memorial service following at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
