Frank A. Bjerstedt, 85, of Mentor, died Nov. 15, 2013, at Kemper House in Mentor.
Born June 20, 1928, in Ashtabula, Mr. Bjerstedt had worked as a commercial artist for the former Fawn Art Studio in Cleveland, the Katzen Studio and Bjerstedt and Dimare. He enjoyed golfing at Chardon Lakes Golf Course, and was very creative with woodworking and personal artwork that he would give as gifts to family members.
Mr. Bjerstedt was active with the Ashtabula High School Class of 1946 alumni and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Irene (Jarosz); sons, Tom (Ines) Bjerstedt and Bob (Cindy) Bjerstedt; daughters, Mary Lynn Tonti-Bjerstedt, Carol (Andy) Thomas and Leslie (Bill) Shearstone; grandchildren, Eric (Ingrid), Anna, Christina, Sarah, Lee, William, Amanda and Matthew; and sister, Patricia Jean Bjerstedt.
He was preceded in death by his 14-month-old daughter, Karen Lynn Bjerstedt; and parents, Anton and Hazel Bjerstedt.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
