Frank V. Bedenk, 93, passed away Dec. 1, 2013, at Heartland of Mentor.
Born Sept. 1, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., he was a resident of Painesville Township for many years.
Frank served in the U.S. Army during World War II, participating in the European Theatre. He served in the Ardennes, Rhineland and in Central Europe campaigns.
Frank was a self-employed mason.
Survivors are his wife, Christina (Incorvaia) Bedenk; son, Frank (Connie) Bedenk of Painesville; daughter, Linda Bedenk of Painesville Township; grandchildren, Renee Bedenk, Michelle Blankenship and Mike Bedenk; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Bedenk of LaGrange, Ill.; and sister, Albina Bukky of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Bedenk; parents; and three sisters, Ann Suomi, Harriett Maki and Dorothy Ferguson.
Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at St. Gabriel's Church in Concord Township.
Interment will be at Middle Ridge Cemetery in Perry.
