Joseph Kevin Scharfeld, 52, of Willowick, passed away at home on Tuesday, Christmas Eve.
He was born in Cleveland on Dec. 28, 1961, the son of Joseph (deceased) and Peggy Ann (John) "Scharfeld" Watson.
Joe was a Crane operator at Chesterfield Steel. He was the financial secretary for the USW local 1-243. He loved golfing, hunting and sports. He was an avid Browns, Buckeyes and Willoughby South Football fan. He was a proud father of his four boys. He was a loving fiancée, father, son, brother and friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Payerchin (Siringer); his children, Nicholas Angelo (Laura) and Samuel Joseph Scharfeld, Michael Anthony (Brittney) and Brandon John Siringer; his siblings, Thom (Cleone), David (Valerie) and Michael "Mick" (Lisa) Scharfeld; and his first wife, Diane Tabone Kopanski.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Harriet Gardner.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 37932 Euclid Ave, Willoughby. Burial will follow at Mentor Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake.
