Doug,
My boss, best friend, and teacher/ mentor! You are the Rick Flair of teaching pros. I am so grateful for the time we spent on the "mission" to play at Illinois together. The journey was tough but the joy was our fuel. We did it together! I love you and miss you! Thank you!

Doug was a great person with a fun personality and contagious smile with a chuckle. I had the pleasure of working with and learning from him as a young Associate Tennis Pro in Springfield from 1984-88. He will be missed! May all of you find peace with each passing day, because Doug is still smiling!
