Richard "Rick" Lee Clymer Jr., 50, of Wellington, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 10, 1964, in Ft. Carson Colorado to the late Richard Lee Sr. and Betty (nee Fulton) Clymer. His father was in the military and the family lived all over the world, from Germany to Hawaii, settling in the Cleveland area where Rick graduated from Willoughby South High School. Rick had lived in the Wellington area for the past 10 years.
Rick was a tow motor operator and worked for Shiloh Industries. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles and the VFW. Rick was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed playing billiards. Rick loved his dog Aries.
Rick is survived by his wife of nearly 12 years, Jill (nee Laditka); daughters, Ashley (Shane) Hallaran of Bedford, and Laura Schantz of Parma; grandchildren, Chance, Teagan, Elanor, and Méav. He is also survived by his step-mother, Donna Clymer; brother, Royce (Tina) Clymer; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca; and his son-in-law, David Schantz.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington and on Saturday from 12 until the time of a memorial service beginning at 1:30 p.m.
