John "Jack" Ericsson, age 73, of Mentor, passed away July 17, 2014 at University Hospitals Geauga Hospital.|
He was born Sept. 9, 1940 in Wheeling, W.Va.
Mr. Ericsson had worked as a quality lab technician for Avery Dennison, he was a member of Central Assembly Church in Mentor and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his sons, Jack (Denise) Ericsson of Woodbury, Minn. and Tim Ericsson of Anna Maria, Fla.; daughter, Peggy (Paul) Borchart of Ariz.; grandchildren, Josh McElroy Ericsson, Kristen Marie Ericsson and Jessica Lauren Ericsson, Tammy (Todd) Wietcke; four great grandchildren; sisters, Penny (Jeff) Breedlove, Cathy (Dennis) Mackey, Irene Gates and Christine (William) Crawley; brothers, George "Bob" Ericsson and Michael (Kathleen) Ericsson; many nieces, nephews and many friends at Deepwood.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Callie; parents, George and Lula Ericsson and sister in law Ruth Ericsson.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
