Funeral Mass for Frank L. Fatica, Sr., age 96, a lifelong Mentor resident, will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mr. Fatica passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015, at his home in Mentor. He was born April 9, 1919, in Cleveland.
Mr. Fatica was a retired general supervisor and distribution manager for the former Addressograph/Multigraph Company, where he worked for 33 years until his retirement in 1978. In his retirement he set-up his own accounting business, serving various local clients. Frank graduated from Mentor High School and the former John Marshall College with an Accounting Degree.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor.
Mr. Fatica was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, serving in the 33rd Calvary, 20th Armored Division, in the European Theatre. He was a Bronze Star Recipient.
Mr. Fatica was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a beloved husband for 73 years to the late Rose "Posie" (Dye) Fatica; loving father of Kathleen Gortz of Lakewood and Frank L. (Kathleen) Fatica Jr. of Concord; grandfather of Michelle Perkins, Tom Perkins, Pat (Carolyn) Perkins and Frank M. (Cassie) Fatica; great-grandfather of Luke, Jack, and Eva Perkins, Frank M. (Megan) Fatica Jr, and Nick Fatica; and great great grandfather of Frank R. Fatica.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah Fatica; parents, Felix and Sarah Fatica; stepfather, Nick Calderino; siblings, Theresa Ciancibello, and Charles and Joseph Fatica.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.
