GILMER — Services for Travis Gene Hathcock, 65, of Gilmer, will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013, at the Abundant Life Temple in Gladewater, with Bro. Mike McGuire and Bro. Rusty Hathcock officiating. Burial will be in Glade Creek Cemetery.
Born February 28, 1947, he died on January 18, 2013. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, having served during the Vietnam War. He married Joyce Ann Widemon on June 14, 1968, and they enjoyed 44 happy years together.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Lanora Hathcock of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Grover Browning of Gilmer; five grandchildren, Kyle Hathcock, Keven Hathcock, Luke Bernard, Kollin Hathcock and Emmalee Browning; four brothers, Carl Hathcock, Rev. Russell Hathcock and Thomas Hathcock, all of Terrell, and Gerry Hathcock of Gilmer; sister, Glenda Fuller of Dallas; and best friend, Joe Fife, who was like a brother, and Mike Ehrensberger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harley and Donnie Rebecca Hathcock.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. today, January 20, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
