Doris Lorene Courtney

LONGVIEW - Services for Doris Lorene Courtney, 91, of Longview, will be noon Monday, March 28, 2011, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with Chaplain David Badders officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin, Texas. Mrs. Courtney passed away Friday evening, March 25, 2011, at Beacon Hospice at Margaret's House in Longview.
Doris was born March 6, 1920, in Conroe, Texas, to Donnie and Cynthia Hall. She loved the outdoors, flowers, working in her yard and cooking. Her family was her life, and she loved caring for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Adrian Courtney; and two grandsons, Michael Wade Surles and William Taylor Romines.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Patricia A. Courtney and Elizabeth L. Romines and her husband, Leroy; grandson, William Marc Surles; granddaughters, Jennifer Romines and Jana Sellers and her husband, Wayne; great-grandsons, Rhett Sellers and Will Romines McCain; great-granddaughter, Ellen McCain; and her special pet, Ginger.
The family requests that memorials be made to Beacon Hospice at Margaret's House, 5016 Gilmer Road Longview, TX 75604.
