HENDERSON - Graveside services for Gary Duffer, 55, of the Stewart Community, will be 4 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010, in Stewart Cemetery, with the Rev. Bob Scott officiating. Arrangements are by Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Mr. Duffer died June 15, 2010, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.

Mr. Duffer was born November 7, 1954, in Dallas, Texas. He was a welder for Trinity Rail. Mr. Duffer enjoyed hunting and three-wheeling. He was skillful with his hands and was a self-taught man. He was also a licensed truck driver. Mr. Duffer was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Duffer; mother, Shirley Wheeler; and sister, Debbie Duffer. Survivors include his wife, Becky Wheeler Duffer of the Stewart Community; grandmother, Bertha McKiddy of Sulphur Springs; stepson, Richie Curry; stepdaughter, Kathy Allen, both of the Stewart Community; brother, Ronnie Duffer of Dallas; sisters, Sharon and Vonda, both of Henderson; granddaughters. Shalen, Staci and Alexis; great-grandchildren, Keyli and Kacey; a number of nieces and nephews; and his best friend Steve.

Pallbearers will be Richie Curry, Steve Owen, Jason Wheeler, Gene Holland, Chase Owen and Tobey White. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, June 17, 2010.
