Diamond, Walter J.*  
Walter J. Diamond, 97, of Sherburne, NY, and a 12-year winter resident of LaCosta Village, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was an avid billiards player and loved every minute of the time spent playing and being with the group. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ogut Diamond. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, March 7, at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon to 2pm. Earnest, Gladys Reams*  
Mrs. Gladys Reams Earnest died February 27th at the age of 88. She was born August 12, 1926 in Sirmans, Florida and grew up nearby in Lamont. She moved to DeLand in 1947, and married Leland Earnest in 1950. Gladys retired after 39 years as Director of Volusia County School Food Services, and she and Leland enjoyed traveling extensively. Gladys enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening and being outdoors. She was preceded in death by her husband Leland and son Lee. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Senseman (Mark), daughter-in-law Terry Reeves; grandchildren Amanda Earnest, Lynn Smith (Ralph), Susan Senseman, Stephen Senseman. Interment will be Friday, 11:00 AM, at Walker Cemetery near Lamont.

Fischer, Dorothy M.*  
Dorothy M. Fischer, 81, who moved to Deltona in 2003 to be with her family, was called by her late husband Richard to come home and went peacefully back unto his loving arms on March 1, 2015. Although she will be greatly missed by her surviving children: Linda and Rod King, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; Richard and Jeanne Fischer, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; John and Deborah, three grandchildren; Susan and Frank Pawela, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Friday, March 6th from 3-4pm followed by a 4:00pm funeral service at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Homes, Inc., 126 E. New York Ave., DeLand, Florida. Final resting place will be with her loving husband, Richard in Rhode Island. Floral arrangements will be accepted on March 10th at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road North Kingstown, RI 02853. Online condolences may be made at www.allensummerhillfuneralhome.com . Futch, Grace Evelyn*  
Grace Evelyn Futch, age 80, of Oak Hill, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater Care Center. Born in New Smyrna Beach, she was a life long resident of this area. Grace worked as a fruit packer in the citrus industry for some time. An avid church goer, she loved her church and singing in the choir. Some of her favorite activities were bingo, gardening, cooking, and sewing. She loved her family and spending time with them. Survivors include her three daughters, Cathy Burton of Gastonia, North Carolina, Tammy (George) Roberts of Edgewater, and Tina (Scott) Del Sonno of Oak Hill; son, Mitchell (Ann) Futch of Dahlonega, Georgia; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grand-children; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Gladys Johnson of Titusville; and two brothers, Eddie (Vera) Futch and Eugene Futch, all of Oak Hill. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Billy Futch. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Upper Room Chapel, 159 North Gaines Street, Oak Hill with Pastor Chuck Vanorsdale officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., today (Wednesday, March 4) at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach Chapel and from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the church. Memorial donations may be made in Grace's name to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia / Flagler, Attn: Edge-water Care Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 or the FGCC Upper Room Chapel, 159 North Gaines Street, Oak Hill, FL 32759.
