Aaron Joseph "A.J." Rogers, age 26, of Palm Coast, passed away on January 31, 2013 in Palm Coast, Florida. "A.J." was born on September 24, 1986 and grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. He graduated from Bluegrass Challenge Military School and moved to Palm Coast in 2003. He worked for many years as a carpenter for Thomas House and other top builders in Flagler County and took great pride in his work. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and following his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, Kara. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Aaron is survived by his mother, Alexandria Rogers; and daughter, Kara Mae Rogers, both of Palm Coast; a brother, Christopher; and maternal grandmother, Eva M. Wade, both of Lexington, Kentucky; aunts, Adrienne Davis (Kent), Christina Adams (Donald), both of Lexington, Kentucky, Teresa Scott (Jack), and Dorothy M. Collie, all of Columbia, Kentucky; an uncle, David Wade (Marti) of Wilmore, Kentucky; cousins, Jacqueline, Sara and Michael Scott, Kendra and Derek Wade, David and Vanessa Wade, Ronnie Rupree, Christina Durham, Zachary Adams, and Tabatha Begley; and sixteen great-aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Joseph Rogers, his maternal grandfather, David Lee Wade, Sr; his paternal grandparents, Sara Arvin Rogers and Allen Rogers. A memorial service will be conducted by Combs Parson and Collins Funeral Home in Richmond, Kentucky at a later date. St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
