A funeral service for Alexia Marie Alderman, who passed away at home Thursday, March 9, 2006, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, with the Rev. Jack Habberfield as the celebrant. The viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. for an hour prior to the service. The interment will be at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, immediately following the service. Mrs. Alderman was born in Yonkers, N.Y., and moved to the area in 1987 from Atlantic Highlands, N.J. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Palm Coast, and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, Elks, Moose, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a retired electronics supervisor who enjoyed dancing, and playing the organ. Mrs. Alderman is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Norman; two daughters, Lillian Chiques, Long Island, N.Y., and Linda Powell, St. Cloud; stepson, Ronnie Cordella, Pittsfield, Mass.; stepdaughter, Linda Rainer, Pittsfield; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
