Funeral Services for Mr. Charles H. Beal, Sr., 80, Daytona Bch, who passed on Monday, December 30, 2013, will be 11 AM, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Jeffery Robinson, Sr., Pastor. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5 - 8:30 PM today, (Fri., Jan. 3) at RJ Gainous Funeral Home and from 9:30 AM until service time at the church on Saturday. Mr. Beal ("Pops") was born in Jasper, FL on August 20, 1933 to the late Essie Mae Holden and Clarence Beal. He was educated in the public Schools of Hamilton County and attended JRE Lee High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Dunn Lumber and Hardware Company after 30 years of service. Charles was a Christian man who wholeheartedly loved the Lord. He was long time member of Mt. Carmel M. B. C. where he served on the Security and Usher's Ministries. He enjoyed sports, helping others, providing for his family and maintaining his home and was an avid NASCAR fan. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Louise Beal; 4 sons: Charles Beal, Jr. (Sophia), Clarence Beal (Wanda Taylor), Anthony Beal (Vivian), Kenneth Beal (Robin); 2 daughters: Anita Beal Badie (Felton), Jacqueline Beal Hollins (Edward); 4 brothers: Wallace Holden, Willie James Holden, Jimmy Holden, Alonza Holden (Maxine); 5 sisters: Addie Cherry, Veloria Loper, Joyce Holden, Mary Dukes, Phyllis Jefferson and Bessie Walls, who was raised along with him as a sister; 2 uncles: Willie Livingston, Johnnie Holden (Earlene); 5 grandchildren, Dante Beal, Sharnise Beal, Codierro Fod, Keenan Walker and Tylan Beal; brothers-in-law: Earnest Only (Mae), Thomas (Lilla), Ronald Only (Penny); sisters-in-law: Deloria Only and Erma Only; 1 he thought of as a son: Randy Vance; 3 he considered grandchildren: Quiana Brown, Stacey Taylor and Rojer Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
