Clarence W. Silva, 80, of Edgewater passed away peacefully on January 27th at 5 am. Clarence was born on January 10, 1933 in Peabody, MA. He was a fire fighter for the city of Peabody, until he retired. He moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1974. He loved fishing, boating and bowling. He was a very kind man who always offered a helping hand to others. He had many friends in this area and he will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his loving wife, Helga; brother, William; sister, Mary Dickenson; brother-in-law, Bob McAlpine; daughter, Brenda Martocchio; sons, Richard and Steven Silva; stepchildren, Bettina and John Patrick McLaughlan. Memorial services will be held at Halifax Hospice of Flagler and Southeast Volusia Care Center in Edgewater on February 7th at 2 pm. Donations may be made to Hospice Care Center in Edgewater.
