Claude "Tom" Hosea, age 69, of Port Orange, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. Calling hours will be 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., today (Wednesday, March 20) at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach Chapel, followed by a graveside service at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. The family will hold a memorial service Wednesday (this evening) at 7:00 p.m. at Rock Church of Daytona, 1818 Taylor Road, Daytona Beach, Florida 32128. Born in Washington, D.C., Mr. Hosea, a retired Medical Service Technician for the U.S. Navy, moved to this area from Beaufort, South Carolina. He was a member of Rock Church of Daytona Beach, and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting, spending time with his family, and loved eating. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia; one son, Mark Hosea (Brittany); three sisters, Beverly Swinson, Gail Robb (Larry) and Evelyn Hosea; and one sister-in-law, Kathy Hosea.
