Cletus A. Lee, 97, of The Cloisters in DeLand, died on December 22, 2012 in DeLand, FL. Mr. Lee was born in West Carroll Parish, LA, son of Clark J. and Lula M. Hammett. He joined the Navy and retired after 24 years as a Lt. Commander. He then obtained his teaching degree and moved to DeLand in 1960 where he got his masters degree in education and taught in Volusia County Schools until he retired in 1978. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of DeLand and a 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed fishing and growing his own vegetables.
Survivors include a loving son, Richard Lee of Georgia; four grandchildre; and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Eunice H. Lee, and a daughter, Elizabeth Meng. There will be a memorial service in the chapel at The First Baptist Church Chapel in DeLand on Wednesday Jan 9, 2013 at 11am
