A Celebration of Life will be held for Codie Ray Barlow, 20, of Palm Coast on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 2 PM at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Codie passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Palm Coast. Friends may come together at the funeral home on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 2 PM until 5 PM. Codie is survived by his mother and stepfather Alicia Nicole and Robert Evans; brother and sister Cole and Isabelle Evans; grandparents Ray and Debbie Scarbrough; great grandparents Big Mama, Ida Loise Hodgins and the late Big Daddy, Frank Hodgins and the late, Nanny girl, Eloise Scarbrough; and a large extensive family of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends. Codie was born June 5, 1992 in Daytona Beach. He is a graduate of Flagler Palm Coast High School, earned his Associate degree from Daytona State College and was enrolled as a science major at USF. Codie was a big hearted, joyous, genuine, loyal and loving young man; always surrounded by his core group of lifelong friends. Codie's interests were wide and varied and from an early age whatever he was involved with at the time he was completely passionate about. From karate and gokarting as a child; to bowling, marching and concert band in high school. And of course all the others that were just fun; skim boarding, skate boarding, paintball, video games. (Of course he loved to win.) Codie loved being a big brother to Cole and Isabelle and shared a very special bond with his mother and grandparents. Codie brought so much joy to those that loved him. Our wonderful child is gone. Our grief is immeasurable. Pray that God will wrap him in his loving arms forever.
