Dennis Warren

Dennis Warren, a local resident for 38 years, a lover of hot-rods and restorer of his own cars, NASCAR fan, devoted friend, husband, father and grandfather, died Nov. 1 at age 77. Memorial services for Mr. Warren will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5. The family will be receiving visitors from 4-6 p.m. at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home in Daytona Beach, with a service and reception immediately following. Mr. Warren became a resident of Port Orange after relocating his family from upstate New York in 1975. Mr. Warren was born in Troy, N.Y. and graduated high school from Averill Park High.. He served in the Naval Reserves from 1954-62 and worked as a mechanic for Ford. Mr. Warren married his wife of 48 years, Janice M. Warren in 1959 (preceded in death Oct. 18, 2007). Mr. Warren is also survived by his beloved daughters; Denise Warren, Port Orange; Cathy Warren, South Daytona; his two beautiful granddaughters; Andrea White (21); Allison White (17), both of Port Orange, and preceded in death by his son Mark Allen Warren (Sept 7, 2001). Other survivors include his brothers, Charles Warren (Joan); Robert Warren (Lillian); Richard Warren (Sue) and Paul Warren (Pam) and his sister Diane Wessels (Pete Mulligan), as well as 13 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Halifax Hospice Health of Volusia, 3800 Woodbriar Terrace, Port Orange, Florida 32129.
