Donald Edward Alexander, 82, of Daytona Beach, formerly of Tampa, FL and Trenton NJ, entered into Heaven on March 1, 2009. A celebration of his life and his beloved wife of 62 years, June, who predeceased him in October 2006, will be held 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Service, One North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach. Don was born to William and Harriet Alexander September 9, 1926 in Trenton NJ. He was a World War II and Korean War Veteran Honorably discharged from the Navy in 1951. He retired from Public Service Gas & Electric Co, Trenton, NJ and The Orthopedic Clinic of Daytona Beach. His cherished pastime was cooking for the Ozark & Fin Fur & Feather Hunting Clubs, the Elks Lodge # 2262, and the Hibernians Club, Hamilton, NJ. He is survived by three sons: Thomas (Linda), Wrightstown, NJ; David, New Smyrna Beach, FL; Jack (Lori), Levittown, PA; and his daughter, Donna Van Weele (Peter), Port Orange, FL; daughters-in-law, Maggie Alexander, Edgewater, FL and Lucia Alexander, Trenton, NJ; eight grandchildren, John Thomas (Vicky), Kate, Milton French, Amy, Allison, & Ashley, Christopher (Ally), SSGT Brad (Tabitha); great-grandchildren, Brandy, Taylor, Emma and Caelyn June; and numerous nieces and nephews; one sister, Gail (Arthur) Glennon; special friends, Joey and Bernadette Garcia, Tampa, FL.
